Tough week but a good week

Saturday, March 7th, 2009

The week started off with a call from my administrative assistant that she had a wreck on the way home to Nashville and totaled her 3 month old Nisan. She is ok but quite sore and will be out all week. We made some adjustments and will be able to work through the week.

We moved from that to getting ready for our Visitors day at our BNI chapter. I am the VP of the UAB Area Chapter of BNI in Birmingham, AL and we had a great visitor’s day on Wednesday. Good turnout and a lot of interest in the chapter.

All through the week customers were calling requesting various support issues. We added a couple of new customers and a few older customers that have not called, called for various issues such as needing new computers and programming requests.

The end of the week ended with a bang. We have a large customer that has been with us for over 10 years and is interested in having us program a rather large, mission critical program for them replacing an existing program that we purchased off the shelf 10 years ago. This could be a great opportunity for us.

Business is picking up. Customers are updating their web sites, fixing their older computers, replacing computers and creating new web sites. I know the economy is tough right now but things are picking up for us in the last few weeks.

We will see what happens next week.
